Association History
The Okanagan Logging Association was originally formed on April 20, 1958 by a group of Okanagan Truckers and Logging Contractors.
The Association was formed to oppose and voice concerns covering the introductions of:
- Government Weight Schedules concerning trucks
- Bill 108 covering increased license rates & fees
- New Government regulations covering:
- Safety Devices
- Tare Weights
- Overheight permits
- Overwidth permits
- Government Boards:
- Workers Compensation
- Department of Transport
- Ministry of Forests
- Ministry of Labour
The associations first Executive Board was formed in May of 1958. The following people made up the board:

During February of 1960 the Association changed its name to the Interior Logging Association and is registered as a Society under the Province of British Columbia Society Act.
