The Interior Logging Association entered into a Labour Market Partnership Agreement with the Provincial Government, as part of their role as an advocate for the forestry contracting community, to accurately identify and report on the overall impact of the forestry crisis facing the Interior Region of British Columbia.
The scope of the project was to collect pertinent information as to what each business is facing and make recommendations on how the BC Government can assist in moving ahead financially, and through supplementary support programs.
In order provide an accurate picture of the magnitude of the forestry crisis, the interior Logging Association reached out to business owners and individuals who have been directly affected within the BC Interior Region.
